How We Work

Initial Discussion

Here we’ll find out if a client is eligible for Medicare (turning 65, retiring soon, and other circumstances).

Schedule Meeting

In this step we’ll do a short Medicare 101 (tutorial) and go over the client’s insurance needs making sure doctors and medications are in-network with the plan that is chosen. An application is filled out and a file for them is created by Insurance Forecast.

Ongoing Review

An annual review of the client’s policy is done so we can make sure all labs, doctor appointments, vaccines, etc., are covered from year to year.

About Your Initial Consultation

What does the initial meeting look like?
(AKA Help me take advantage of my Medicare benefits)

Once determining a client is eligible for Medicare and is in need of our services we’ll do a short Medicare 101 with them. This takes about ten minutes where an agent will explain the four parts of Medicare, A, B, C, and D, how each part works, what it costs, and what kind of copays there are.

Then we talk about the ways one can supplement Medicare (Advantage or Medigap) making everything simple and understandable. Medicare doesn’t cover everything so everyone gets some sort of additional insurance. Then we’ll do some data collection. This includes looking up current doctors and medications to make sure whatever plan you choose has those docs and meds covered.

Finally we will fill out an application together. We work with every carrier that offers Medicare supplement insurance and they all pay us the same so you can be sure we won’t steer you to one particular plan. In fact, it costs nothing extra to work with a broker. We’d like to be your advocate.
